Naman Retreat — Da Nang, Vietnam

A wellness resort that feels like an Aman for a fraction of the price — and it includes one spa treatment for every night you stay.

The short version

  • Private, spacious villas on the white-sand coast between Da Nang and Hoi An, with a famous wall-less spa open to the sea air.
  • Every guest gets a 50-minute treatment for every night they stay — plus daily yoga and meditation.
  • One of our favourite resorts anywhere: the best spa treatments we’ve had, an incredible breakfast buffet, and pools to drift between.

What is it?

Naman Retreat sits on the coast between Da Nang and Hoi An, with vertical gardens spilling down its walls and a wall-less spa open to the sea air. Accommodation runs from rooms up to large private villas — spacious, calm, and built for slowing down. It was named Vietnam’s Best Wellness Retreat at the 2024 World Spa Awards, and a free shuttle drops you into Hoi An, the lantern-lit old town famous for same-day custom tailoring and handmade leather.

Why stay here?

Because it’s the rare resort that is the destination. The villas are private and generous, the breakfast buffet is genuinely incredible — the kind you plan your morning around — and there are pools everywhere you look. Best of all, every night includes a 50-minute spa treatment, and they were the best treatments we’ve had at any resort, anywhere. Years later it’s still the stay we measure others against, for a fraction of what a true Aman costs.
